Bay Flats Lodge, is a world class bay fishing and duck hunting destination located in Seadrift , Texas. Located only a couple hours from Houston, and even closer to San Antonio and Corpus Christi, the lodge is easily accessible for corporate outings as well as those who want to experience the best in bay fishing and hunting on the lower Texas coast. Captain Chris and Debbie Martin have developed the lodge with an upperscale fish camp type of atmosphere and they are constantly improving different aspects to make the visit one their guests will always remember . With dining being a big part of the experience , the Mart ins have made the food served a major ingredient in their recipe for success by using only the freshest vegetables, meats, and as much as possible freshly caught fish and local seafood for the selections for their guests. I met Chris about ten years ago, and had the chance to introduce him to the Texas Gourmet line for grilling and glazing different meats and other types of dishes. Well, he took to the products like a duck on a June bug and was soon trying them out on some of their entrees. With the introduction of Sherman, the resident Grillmaster and public relations consultant, the list of flavor filled items that they prepare with our products has grown over time. From the grilled Quail marinated and grilled with our Lemon Rosemary Habanero Grilling Sauce to Bacon wrapped Shrimp and Jalapeno Diablos , they now are serving dishes that will have you wanting to come back as much for the great food as for the great fishing and hunting. Bay Flats Fishing and Hunting Lodge, is a world class sportsman’s destination located in Seadrift, Texas only a couple hours drive from Houston, and even closer for those coming from San Antonio or Corpus Christi. The owners, Captain Chris and Debbie Martin have been hosting guided bay fishing and world class duck hunting trips on San Antonio Bay out of their beautiful lodge in Seadrift , Texas . Besides the fishing and hunting, the Martins realized long ago the importance of serving great food to round out the experience of the patrons at the lodge. I remember when they served some great steaks , and a few other entrees. But in the past several years the menu has really taken off, with the introduction of quail, fresh Redfish on the Halfshell caught that day in San Antonio Bay, delectable grilled bacon wrapped shrimp and jalapeno diablos to name a few of the great dishes served. I had the opportunity to meet Chris many years back and introduced him to a few of my Texas Gourmet grilling sauces and glazing jellies. He loved the flavors and started experimenting with them in their outdoor kitchen. With the introduction of Sherman, who is the resident Grillmaster and customer satisfaction consultant, the lodge makes each and every visitor feel welcome.
